For F-1 transfer students only: Please ask your current school to complete this form and send it to the English Language Academy.
To take an Institutional TOEFL at the English Language Academy: Please contact the ELA office at 312-362-6455 for information about the next available test administration. If a test space is available, you will need to register in advance at the English Language Academy office and complete a FERPA release form. The cost of this paper-based TOEFL is $25.00. Please note that scores on the Institutional TOEFL can only be reported to DePaul University.
Admission to the English Language Academy is open to all international students who have already studied some English and who have completed their secondary school education.

Applicants needing an I-20 to apply for an F-1 Student Visa must also submit the following:

A recent, official, original bank statement. Faxes and/or photocopies are not acceptable. The bank statement must show that you have enough money to pay for your educational and living expenses in the United States. It should have a date on it, not more than 3 months old.

Please note that admission to the Academy is not admission to DePaul University’s academic degree programs. Admission to undergraduate or graduate academic programs requires a separate application and a score of 550 or higher on the TOEFL examination (213 on the computer-based TOEFL or 80 on the TOEFL iBT).
