Admission Requirements

Admission to the English Language Academy is open to all international students who have already studied some English and who have completed their secondary school education.

Applicants must submit the following

• The completed English Language Academy application
• $80.00 application fee
• $300.00 tuition deposit

Applicants needing an I-20 to apply for an F-1 Student Visa must also submit the following

• Part III of the ELA Application: Statement of Financial Support
• A recent, official, original bank statement. Faxes and/or photocopies are not acceptable. The bank statement must show that you have enough money to pay for your educational and living expenses in the United States. It should have a date on it, not more than 3 months old.

Late applicants should send the application fee, tuition deposit and financial documents together by express mail to save time.

Please note that admission to the Academy is not admission to DePaul University's academic degree programs. Admission to undergraduate or graduate academic programs requires a separate application and a score of 550 or higher on the TOEFL examination (213 on the computer-based TOEFL or 80 on the TOEFL iBT).
